Pamela Adkinson is a visual artist working in painting, printmaking, and photography. She received her M.F.A. in Painting and Drawing from Arizona State University and her B.F.A. in Studio Art from Louisiana Tech University. Her work has been exhibited in exhibitions across the United States, including the Fort Worth Community Arts Center and the Arizona State University Art Museum.
Adkinson’s interdisciplinary practice is rooted in early experiences with material processes, fostering an enduring interest in color, texture, and transformation. She taught color theory at Arizona State University and middle school art in Texas. She worked as an independent film producer for an international film festival about social change based in Los Angeles, California.
She received multiple grants and fellowships, including a Teaching Fellowship and public art grant, she is currently rediscovering her artistic voice and confronting generational trauma through portraiture after personal and physical challenges.
